La palette d'émotions vécues par la jeune héroïne est très efficacement traduite non seulement par le texte, dont l'expressivité est soulignée par des jeux typographiques et des dialogues bien sentis, mais également de pétillantes illustrations de synthèse, esquissées de traits de crayon noir déliés et colorées d'aplats rouges, saumon et turquoises.
