The story of Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope, told in graphic novel format.
On April 12, 1980, Terry Fox dipped his artificial leg into the Atlantic Ocean. It was the beginning of his Marathon of Hope, a run across Canada to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. For 143 days, Fox ran an average of 42 kilometres each day. He made it two-thirds of the way across Canada before his run was cut short. Fox's cancer had returned. Although Fox hoped to beat cancer again and finish his run, he died on June 28, 1981, at the age of 22. Fox raised $24.2 million for cancer research. More importantly, he inspired cancer survivors around the world.

Teen Readers' Choice Award 2024 "Putting up a front and hiding her mental illness from her classmates is going to be the hardest thing high schooler Natalie Cordova has ever done. It's her senior year, and she's just been selected to present her artwork at a prestigious show. With the stress of performing on her shoulders, it doesn't help when Natalie notices a boy who makes her heart leap. And then there's fellow student Ella, who confronts Natalie about her summer car "accident" and pressures her into caring for the world's ugliest dog. Now Natalie finds herself juggling all kinds of feels and responsibilities. Surely her newly prescribed medication is to blame for the funk she finds herself in. But as Natalie's plan to self-treat unravels, so does the perfect facade she's been painting for everyone else." --from publisher.

     BREE TANNER CAN BARELY REMEMBER LIFE before she had uncannily powerful senses, superhuman reflexes, and unstoppable physical strength. Life before she has a relentless thirst for blood --- life before she became a vampire.

ALL BREE KNOWS IS THAT LIVING WITH HER fellow newborns has few certainties and even fewer rules; watch your back, don't draw attention to yourself, and above all, make it home by sunrise or die. What she doesn't know : her time as an immortal is quickly running out.

THEN BREE FINDS AN UNEXPECTED FRIEND in Diego, a newborn just as curious as Bree about their mysterious creator, whom they know only as "her". As they come to realize that the newborns are pawns in a game larger than anything they could have imagined, Bree and Diego must choose sides and decide whom to trust. but when everything your know about vampires is based on a like, how do you find the truth?

IN ANOTHER IRRESISTABLE COMBINATION of danger, mystery, and romance, Stephenie Meyer tells the devastating story of the newborn army as they prepare to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullens, following their encounter to its unforgettable conclusion.

=======================================

.... I watched his body change. He crouched on the roof, one hand gripping the edge. all that strange friendliness disappeared, and he was a hunter. That was something I recognized, something I was comfortable with because I understood it.

I turned off my brain. It was time to hunt. I took a deep breath, drawing in the scent of the blood inside the humans below. They weren't the only humans around, but they were the closest. who you were going to hunt was the kind of decision you had to make before your scented your prey.

It was too late now to choose anything.
